Born and raised in south London, I have been tour-guiding for almost 16 years. London is so diverse with so much to offer, and I look forward to helping you get better acquainted with this wonderful city.

The experience

Explore the history and sample some of London's most famous dishes at some of the best food places the city has to offer.

We start off south of the Thames in Waterloo. Once we're all set with the bikes, we head east to our first stop - and what better way to kick off your day with a cup of London's most famous coffee. As well as visiting a traditional (albeit beautiful) London 'greasy spoon', we also visit the city's oldest pie and mash shop to sample some local delicacies.

From here we have a short cycle to one of London's newest food markets - tucked away in the backstreets of Bermondsey. Here you will have a few minutes to explore (with my recommendations) before we reconvene for some more tasting.

We will then head from newest the oldest; Borough Market. At over 1,000 years old, traders down at Borough know how to do great food. So much so, they are now the biggest gourmet food market in the country! Here we will also take a tipple of another London staple - ale. With our hearts and stomachs full, we will then take a short cycle back to Waterloo.

One thing is for sure, this experience will take you to parts of the city that even the locals miss. So join me if you're looking to see the city from a different angle!

Giles is original with great opinions and insights to the royals, history, and food. We had six of us with three teens and all enjoyed the day.

We have taken bike tours in several places in Europe and this is one of the best. Giles was excellent and made it a wonderful experience. He has a true passion for the city and the sites we saw. Highly recommend!

The places that we went to were very interesting and Giles showed us a side of London that you don't see everyday. He was great with his stories and knowledge of the city. If you think a bike ride might be too much for you, don't worry as the ride is mostly flat and slow paced. After you have done this ride you will remember it as one of the best things that you did while in London.

Giles was excellent - interesting and knowledgeable with his own perspective dabbled in. He took us to areas we would not have found on our own and kept good track of our group. Loved it!
