Hosted by citizenM

For the London Design Festival, citizenM hosts an installation and workshop with London-based Mexican designer Fernando Laposse. His sensorial and tactile installation, Sisal Sanctum, transforms the entrance to citizenM’s Shoreditch hotel into a cosy lounge protected by two giant Guardians made entirely from sisal – a natural fibre harvested from a species of Agave cactus found in the South of Mexico.

The experience

Join Fernando and citizenM for an intimate workshop where you will be introduced to sisal, and learn how to create intricate jewellery with this versatile material. Weave elaborate pieces and dye the sisal with natural dyes derived from the same plant.

The exhibition will continue until Sunday 30 September.
